This is my niece and her best friend. Well she's really much, much cuter than this, I'm still experimenting with my new watercolours.

illustration friday - seed

"Everyone who enjoys, thinks that the principal thing to the tree is the fruit, but in point of fact the principal thing to it is the seed. Herein lies the difference between them that create and them that enjoy." Nietzsche

Here is a little tribute to the seed packages that my grandmother used to have. I'm also trying out my new watercolours, yea.

illustration friday - garden

I was going through some boxes and came across some photos I took of the tree of life in Bahrain. Its survival is a mystery, living in the desert without any apparent water source for over 600 years. Maybe it lives off of coffee like I do. So, for no apparent reason, I doodled the garden of eden. (I also realized I still draw like I did in the third grade so not everything evolves).

Illustration Friday - Tails and legends

Tails and legends. I haven't posted in so long I felt I just needed to get something up here, so here it is, the tails and legends around our house. If only they could talk they'd have some tales to tell.

We have to be thankful for the the little things in life. It has been a tough year and those christmas lights aren't hanging themselves.
