I'm not fat, I'm fluffy! 

Indeed, kitten is quite SKINNY under all that fluff, she only weighs about six pounds.

For Halloween here's a "10 Little Pumpkins" inspired doodle.

Thanks for all the positive feedback on my abstract paintings. I'm taking a class at the Torpedo Factory and it's really been challenging and fun. I like the acrylic and collage stuff, working on one of the kitty, will post when I finish.

The furballs have not been fasting, I have just not been very FAST in posting new IF submissions I hope to get back into the groove soon. While I still can't find a bunch of my studio stuff, like my light box, we're SLOWLY settling into a beautiful fall here.

The skylight in my new office magnifies the sound of the raindrops which we haven't heard in awhile, it never rained in southern california. The kitten is liking her new digs. We all survived the trek cross-country.

We're almost all moved in, I still haven't found some of my art supplies, I'm sure they're in a brown box somewhere. Happy to report the dogs are not afraid of thunderstorms which they've never experienced before.

We will be drifting through a sea of boxes.

Our house will soon be looking very mono-chromatic, filled with nothing but brown boxes. We have to move again, my husband swears he's not in the witness protection program. While he is still overseas I am stuck here trying to sort through all the boxes left unpacked from our last move. We will be drifting for awhile until we can find a new house that will take two large dogs and a demand-o-cat.

okay I'm doing another animal wednesday only because I got some funny pictures from the beach. A golden retriever dog group was out giving surf lessons to dogs. It's hard to see but that's a dog on the surf board hanging twenty.

animal wednesday - driving miss erin

I don't usually participate in Animal Wednesday but had this funny picture of Ronan from this morning (at least I thought it was funny). I guess he got tired of being a backseat driver. He was also getting into honking the horn (really).

We have had to adapt to life without the hubby for a while. Hope he doesn't mind crumbs in the bed when he returns (the kitten may not let him back in the bed).

okay (yawn) I didn't have much time this week so (yawn) I doodled this quickie (yawn) of one of the more fun things (yawn) to do with with your people-of-fur, making them yawn. Try it, it's so contagious (yawn) just thinking about it (yawn) is making me yawn.

this is a tiny omage to the closing credits of fractured fairytales on the rocky and bullwinkle show.

I'm getting this in under the wire by posting an old totem that I doodled. It doesn't accurately represent our family hierarchy because we all know the kitty would be on top!

Being alone is fine. Being alone together is perfect.

Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer (dogs)
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune (dogs),
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles (those darn dogs),
And by opposing, end them (sayonara puppies).

I was sitting here yawing and drawing a blank,

when I heard a scuffle and my heart sank,
I peered out into the hall following the noise,
to see the kitten maintaining such grace and poise,
ducking and dodging the puppy's swift swacks,
as he played a rousing game of Whac-A-Cat.
