illustration friday - late
I'm late this week with "late" and very, very late with last week's "strings". I can't complain (oh, but watch me) since it's because I'm busy with work which is a blessing in these troubled economic times. My idea for last week, which I never got posted, was guitar strings. I had just seen the Blasters at a benefit and was pining for my old groupie surf guitar days. So I dusted off my old axe and proceeded to pluck out a creaky rendition of Misirlou.

Jeez Erin, I tried looking up wtf Misirilou was and I got all kinds of pop-up spam o'ramas happening!!!
I do love your kitty and the guitar, but please tell me what that song is! I'm older than you so I should know, right?
hee, hee, I doubt you're older than me, but Misirlou is an old Dale and the Deltones song, revived in Pulp Fiction. It's easy to play since it's basically one string.
Are you kidding? It's never too late. These are wonderful, Erin! Makes me wish I could play guitar.
I always love your kitty trying out great stuff. Like playing a guitar, wow how talented!
Would you mind duet with me or go solo?
That's one talented kitty (well, they all are, right?) Love the little feet under the guitar! :-)
Good to hear you've are busy with work, and you still found time to add two new drawings to your blog. You rock! :-)
haha i love both, kitty always looks like he is having a good ol time, adorable :) one of our friends manages the Blasters! I haven't seen them in so long...
Heee hee, looks like Furball can play one mean Misirlou! Cute as the dickens!
Hooo boy, know what you mean about being busy, and man is it better than the alternative! Keep up the good work!
Rock on! The kitty is brilliant. You play and I'll dance.
