illustration friday - expired

Made it in just under the wire before this week's topic "expired". Ugh, I know it's pretty bad, I don't even drink milk, yuck, it always tastes expired to me.

I've been working on other stuff, in addition to work-work.
This past weekend I took a wonderful workshop with the most excellent and wonderful Kathy Beynette, http://www.torpedofactory.org/artists/beynette_k.htm
So, here is my work from the workshop, a Paul Klee-like puppet and painting.

I'm with you on the milk thing!!! G-R-O-S-S! I never drank it as a kid either. Dairy gets a bad rap in general these days.

I'm going to check out this link later. I love the painting!

;)

Can you email me so I can send you a doggy video? My email is on my profile page ;)

Workshops are obviously a good thing. The image from the puppet is stunning; I could happily have it on my wall. I clicked on you NY Times link by the way and am now strolling around with a vastly inflated ego. I shall take it to bed now. We are keeping Sam, our current foster, so you can say 'I told you so'! great piece, and yes milk is pretty gross, I really hated it as a kid and they would always get really cross with me at school for not drinking it!
Love the Klee painting too its totally beautiful.

Isn't it fun to take workshops? The Torpedo Factory sounds like a great place. I really like what you did, especially the painting!

I'm a big milk fan, so I always have some at home -- it never expires! :-)

Oh, what a cool book you got. I checked it out on Amazon and love the illustrations! Seems like a great story too...
