My focus has been a bit scattered as I try to figure out how to rid our house of mice that moved in after our basement flooded. I don't know how to separate the cute disney version of them from the icky rodent version of them, I want them gone but hate to kill them.

Can't you capture the mice (alive) and then put them somewhere else?

If you find a solution, please let me know! Pesky mice in our basement are driving our Lab crazy. If she spots one, she lays in wait for HOURS thinking she can catch it. Silly dog.
Pests are trouble especially when they came because of the season. Goodluck to your pest control as well as your pet sitting. That's a tongue twister you got there:-)
