illustration friday - opinion

I'm already stressing out about Thanksgiving and dealing with the family and all their strong opinions.

Any tips you have would be welcome.

Very cute. Find a corner to hide in and sketch to relax :) Rememeber; everything will always work out.

Keep the earmuffs, hang on to the turkey leg and add a G&T! Celebrate in fashion on behalf of an old expat.

my murphy's opinion on the matter: a soft warm blankie solves all problems!

Go on a trip around the world! Ehehee! Too dramatic?! ;-)

I may not be the best person to give advice as I tend to get way too stressed out around the holidays (and I'm not even cooking!)
But just take it one day at a time, pet your dogs and kitty often and don't take anything too seriously! :-)

T-day and Xmas stress me out, too! Kitty's got the right idea, though. Earmuffs. And if that don't work, you can always hit 'em over the head with a huge drumstick!

Cute illo!

the earmuffs look like a good idea to me!

looks like you have it figured out… don't listen to them… just eat… and if you must wear ear plugs don't forget to smile occasionally or at least nod your head now and then between bites…

Aww cute!! As for the holidays, sometimes you have to be selfish to enjoy them, so don't worry about everyone's opinion, they're always going to have them... Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Oh, this kitty seems to be well prepared for the family gathering, plugging her ears and concentrating on the food! :DDDDDDD

thank you all for your great advice!

while the kitty loves turkey, I'm a veggie so I have to fend off all the comments on how I'm ruining my life, luckily there's always pie!

I remember when I first became a veggie in the seventies. Man, did I feel defensive! I used to eat all the "fixins" and that was just fine for me. years later I'd bring a spinach lasagna along as my contribution. They all looked forward to it.
I'm not a veggie anymore because my body is doing better with a little fish and poultry, but I was one for 22 years. My family still can't believe it when they see me put a piece of turkey in my mouth!
So, no matter what you do, someone is always going to have an opinion!
Be true to yourself...and drink lots of wine!
Happy Thanksgiving :)

Sheesh, there is so much good eatin' to be done at Thanksgiving that does not include meat. Funny, most people don't realize that. My veggie bro-in-law gorges himself on everything, except turkey of course.

The earmuffs are a great idea, hee hee. You can always claim to have cold ears.

Anyway, I hope it all went well!!!
